A while back Brian W. posted a photo of Begonia 'Exotica' on the Tropicals forum.
It's really a beauty, but while researching it, I found information that indicates its difficult to grow.
Just wondering if any of you have grown it (specifically if anyone has grown it *indoors*, but interested to hear if grown outdoors, too!) and what your experience was with it?
Here's a link to his post.

Kartuz had this one for sale when that post was made, but it has since sold out......(wonder why? LOL!)
B. 'Exotica'
I've killed all three of mine since it wants high humidity. I gave up. Until I get a big terrarium. b. bipinnatifida is another one I'll try once more. But our dry air out here does me in! It's just too difficult for me.

Well, dang....if *you* can't grow it, I'm not even gonna try!! LOL!!
I guess I'll just enjoy the photos of others!
I thin even Joolz gave up on it. Joolz? was it b. breverimosa or 'exotica' (or are they one in the same?)
Butch has a live one I believe. His is in a terrarium and if I recal he posted it here some time back.
Isn't WI humid? You may have luck if so.
Butch...if you have a 'living Exotica' you've *got* to show us a photo, please! (Or show me the link to it?!)
WI is humid during parts of June, July, August, September, (it'll be warm and humid for a week or two at a time) but during most all of the other months we have the central heating on.....spend a lot of the summer trying to get rid of humidity, then the rest of the year trying to add it!!
Wow...no wonder that was a winner!
Well....I think I'll avoid B. Exotica, for now.
I killed bipinnitifida, too....once was enough frustration for me!
