Can't access Hotmail account

When I tried to access my Hotmail account this morning I got the following message: "Cookies must be allowed. Your browser is currently set to block cookies. Your browser must allow cookies before you can use the Passport Network. Cookies are small text files stored on your computer that tell Passport Network sites and services when you're signed in. To learn how to allow cookies, see online help in your web browser."

I haven't had trouble accessing the account before. I don't know what the cookie name is so I can't go into my Tools/Options/Privacy settings on Firefox and change that cookie's setting from 'Blocked' to 'Allow for Session'.

Any help would be appreciated - I need to check my Hotmail messages in case Johnny Depp has been trying to reach me. LOL
