My DH did some work for another company, sort of as a sideline job and the man gave him a little bonus. Last year when he gave him a bonus, we were instructed to go over to Sears and pick up whatever was waiting there for us. It was a very nice Hi-Def TV. Right out of the blue he did that for us. So he just sent a little bonus for us so I got to get a few new plants from Bluebird's Greenhouse. I went this morning and this is what I got. I got two streprocarpus, 2 mini AVs, 2 other varigated AVs, a pretty Episcia, and some sort of plant that I didn't even ask what it was. It was just so pretty that I decided to get it. Maybe you guys can help me figure out what it is. Here is the first one. His name is Hisako. I have no idea what kind of plant it is but I'm sure that many of you know. So help me out and tell me what it is.
Jesse
Editted to say that I now know what this is. It is a Chirita, as identified by RainGazer.

A great bonus for me
The next one is a Streptocarpus named Country Cider. I really do love these things. They are so pretty. These are my first two.
Jesse
Editted to say I got the names confused and Country Cider is an AV and not a Streptocarpus. I will have to find out the name of the Streptocarpus later.

Chirita sinensis 'Hisako'
It's a beautiful one, Jesse! I'm about to post a thread about mine and ask a question. Here's the PF page on it. http://davesgarden.com/pf/go/64653/index.html

they are lovely!
Jesse, you are sooo lucky your husband has a generous boss. I could never imagine my husband's boss giving me plants.
This was not his regular boss. This was from a side job from another guy. I don't even think his regular boss has paid him yet. But it sure was nice when he told me that when I went to Bluebird's that I could buy a few plants and not just supplies. I had been planning to get get some supplies but when he said, "baby, buy yourself a few plants while you are there" I just wanted to cry. But they would have been happy tears.

You are so lucky Jesse never heard of such luck before . My husband does lots of side jobs he's lucky to get $15.00 -25.00 never a bonus. Guess we don't know the right people or any with money. lol
Hope sense he was so good to you Hubby must of got paid really good.
I can't see any pictures :((
I do not understand what is going on with DG right now. The photos were fine when I first posted them. Has anyone else had this problem?
Jesse
I did. Dave installed the new server (don't really know what that means, but it's good for us) today and he was switching over a bunch of stuff. They probably just got lost in all the moving. I just reposted mine in my thread. I think it will all be better for us in the end! :o)
you have to re-post your pictures Jesse
Okay, I will repost mine then. Thanks for the info.

I don't really look at it as luck. I look at it as a blessing. And it is about time for things to go good for me. I lived with my first husband for 18 years. He never provided for me and my daughter. We got evicted every 6 months because he could not pay the rent. Many times we had to put everything we had in storage and live with someone else in their home. The bad part of that is that the ex would not pay the storage fee and I lost every thing that I ever had. It was awful living with him. We never had anything. I would get a car just to have it reposessed in a couple of months. My ex said that he could not work for anyone else and that he had to be in his own business. He was into more types of businesses than you could ever imagine. It was a tough life and one that I never want to go back to. Jeremy has been so good to me and has taken such good care of me and he spoils me. I have had to get used to this because for most of my life I've never had anything. And if I ever did get somethig, the ex would go pawn it at the pawn shop and then never get it back. I had some gold jewelry that my parents had given me and he lost all of it in pawn shops. Life was so awful with him.
But now I have my sweet DH and he takes great care of me. I could never ask more from a man than what he gives me. I truly love him with all of my heart and I am so thankful to have him
Jesse
I guess I will wait and see if the photos return if Dave gets whatever caused this fixed. If not I will repost them. I've noticed that you can't post them by using the edit feature so I'll wait to see what Dave can do first. Then I'll repost if he does not fix it.

Jesse....I had an EX like that, too! Whew!!! Am I glad he's gone for good! Ü
Apparently a lot of people are having problems with photos today.
DG installed a new server 4/19....I'm sure everything will get straightened out has he has time.
Anyone else looking for info on the new server and any related problems, check out the forum with the title Dave's Garden.
Wow Jesse I think you get the largest best plants when you go there rather than ordering.
Your Episcia looks like;
Episcia Metallica
Soft leathery looking foliage with light green veining transitioning to golden brown. Lightly serated edges have a golden brown color. Small flowers are solid red with yellow throats
From Bluebrids if you did not find a tag.
that chirita is just gorgeous. wow wow wow! cool. : )
Thanks everyone. No, I did not get an ID yet. I will make out a tag with that name on it. I still need to get an ID on the Strep. I can call but you guys are so good at this. If no one has an ID soon I'll call them tomorrow. I can't get online from my house for some reason so right now I'm using my phone.
Jesse check out Bluebirds web sight for the Streps they sell and pictures you may find your's.
