Hello everyone!
I have the common blue squill, but I noticed a self sown white seedling! I just wondered if this is a common this to happen? It's pretty cool though.

Blue Squill
Not horribly common, but it happens often enough that some prefer the white (or like it in contrast) and have propagated it as it's own strain. I had this happen with Puschkinia. It's just the beauty of genetics. For some reason, such sports tend to be just a little less vigorous than the original, and its own offspring tend to revert, being of submissive genes. When it goes dormant, give it a special spot or jsut leave it to see what happens.

Thanks, James. Thats very interesting.
This one bulb will stay white though...right? It won't go back to blue?
