I've been Googling and searching this forum and started to wonder... I've seen pictures of B. sanguinea that showed some really intense coloring, especially around the corolla, but I didn't see any hybrids that shared the same trait. Are there any out there? They were all beautiful, but mistly soft pastels.
Brugmansia sanguinea
Hi Agrinerd! I am not sure which hybrids you are talking about. Here where I live lots of people have sangs in their yards esp in San Francisco. They come in reds and bright oranges, some with some yellow in them and some all yellow. I have seen pale pink too.
Iochromas come in deep colors as well as pastels
Yes, the Iochromas are amazing, but brugs? Which ones have the darkest coloration? There are lots of brugs that pop out at you in people's yards around here, but all I see are patel oranges. Should I look into Iochromas for color? I live on the outmost hardiness zone for bruggies.
There are lots of colors of brugs as well as shapes and sizes. Here is a link to Plantfiles and many of the brugs that are available. There are many others that haven't been added to Plantfiles yet. Just go through the alphabet and enjoy. http://davesgarden.com/pf/finder/index.php?sname=Brugmansias&submit=submit
Thanks!
