Bamboo in zone 6 NY

I would like to know if Phylostacys nigra, or P. nigra Hennon will grow in zone 6a NY. If so how tall will they get?
will they take over?

I would pose this question to the experts in the "Grass & Bamboo" forum. There are some clumping Bamboos that will do just fine in the Northeast, but it is always good to make certain - BEFORE you plant something that could run amok in your garden :)
