First pink water lily this season

Mysore, India(Zone 10a)

It gave me plenty of joy for 4 days - four mornings to be precise. It closed down the show by noon each day.

The pink and blue were together for two days. The blue seems to be a profuse bloomer.

beautiful blooms--mine don't stay open all day either

Mysore, India(Zone 10a)

This closes by about 2 or 3 PM. The blue one stays till evening.

Oh man, Is that cool or what?! Nice combination.

Mysore, India(Zone 10a)

When the climate is cooler, it stays open longer. April was a hot month when it first showed up (above). It was about 35C. Now it has come down to 27C. And a lot humid with the monsoon rains.

That is a very pretty one dinu. I wish I had room for a lot more of them.

Mysore, India(Zone 10a)

Some are lighter in shade, some are a bit richer in pink. Actually it is a blue lily that is about to open in the background. The pink opens before blue opens. Closes before blue as well.

Thanks a lot. I realized NOW after seeing it in a better PC monitor how good that shot was. It surprised me too. Oh yes, I'm sending it right away for your pleasure of a screensaver! Enjoy.
