Outdoors all winter

This is Candy Wind and she spent the (admittedly mild) winter on my deck, exposed to constant wind. She started blooming about 2 weeks ago. Most of the older leaves looked pretty ratty and had to be removed. This is a record early bloom date for me.

Very pretty! By the way, what's that white fuzzy (hairy) flower on the far right side? LOL

You mean this fuzzy flower???? His name is Boolie and he is a thief! At 7 months he has figured out that if I am working in the garden I am not paying enough attention to him so he steals plant labels and eats them. That always gets my attention for a number of reasons. LOL

Hmmm...that fluffy flower resembles the Caninus Bloomingus Painus. I've got one of those on order as well...Mine is the Caninus Bloomingus Painus Puppius Bullish Mastiffus. It will be interesting to see how well the Puppius Bullish Mastiffus (AKA Barkley BeoWoof) gets along with the water garden and fishies...not to mention the five Felinus Bloomingus Painus Intha Anuses. I can't have indoor plants. I had one rooting in the house this winter and it was fine for three or four months. Then Lucy Furr discovered it in the kitchen window. The next day I found teeth marks in the plant. I moved it to the other window sill, out of 'her' special spot. That night I found the pot, minus the plant. I stepped on something lumpy under the rug and discovered a small piece of the plant...with lots more teeth marks in it...and the rest of the plant was GONE! This winter I have decided to turn my guest room into a semi greenhouse....with Lucy Furr locked out. However, I will have to let Dorian Gray in because he is the only mouser out of five cats...and living out in the country, and in a house that is 115 years old, I have to keep the mouser on patrol in the winter.

We have a Lucy Furr too! Well, her name was Lucy until we found out she was a he. The neighbors dubbed him Lucifer but I was still stuck on Lucy so LucyFurr he remains.
