Nanna made me a large beautiful Dollie . Do I still call it a dollie Nanna
or is it a small end table topping/cloth ?
Well she made it for me for a gift saying Thank you for sending her plants !
It's gorgous Nanna . Thank you ever so much ! I will always enjoy it.
I'll take pictures. I have a whole bunch of pictures in the camera from today and yeasterday to get out. But for right now I am going to do some packing.

I'm glad you like the doily, Allison. This is one of my favorite patterns. It reminds me of the early 1900s. Very romantic in pattern.

This is one way I remember my mother. She was a very talented crocheter. (Crocheter: one who crochetes. Don't even know if there is such a word.)

I didn't either. I have been developing it for several years. I'm no where near as good as my mother was. Never will be. But I try.

Since,I broke my wrist & after 8 months of phy.therapy,3 times a week,I still can not straighten my fingers,so I can't do alot of things,that I once was able to do-this makes me appreciate the talent that you & others have that can do this,even more.Thanks Allison for sharing pictures with us.

Sorry to hear about your acciden, CC. I sure hope things go well for you. You are right about appreciation. It always seems to come when someting you take for granted is taken from you.

It sure does-this happen 2 years ago & Dr. says this is the best my hand will get. I'm just thankful,I have some use left & you may know it is my right hand & I'm right-handed.He said what happen only happens to low percentage of folks-you may know I would be one of the rare ones. Just have to take it in strife & keep going but at times I do get up-set when I can't do something that need or want to do.

I can understand. At times like these I feel so helpless. I would love to kiss it and make it all better. Over the years, I have found that when you loose capacity in one way or another that you are compensated in another way. Has this happened to you? I know you said you are much more aware of talents that others have and the time and effort that goes into it. But, what about you? What have you gained as a result of your loss?

To try not focus on what I can't do but keeping doing what I can do-don't stop doing the things I can do just because I can't do all that I use,too. Appreciation. More aware of what may have once been took for granted.

Your so right Nanna someday we all loose capacity . We can't do what we use to. Can't drive anymore, can't walk, can't even take a shower alone.
Sometimes it happens to us when were elderly if we are Blessed and been able to live a fulfilling life full of Memories. And sometimes it Happens to the Young Virbant Mom or Dad , even a child just starting their memories. But it happens someday to all of us. We must except what the day brings and Thank God for the Blessings each day he gives us.
Make the best of each day ! Appreciation the talents God has given us " Today " no mater what they may be each has been given to us for a reason and is important.

oh no Colie we did not feel that. When we lost some
loose capacity it's hard . Then we wake up to the next day to new Blessings :))

Please don't think that CC. Actually I was looking for inspiration and you and Allison gave it to me. Isn't this forum wonderful. In certainly keeps me in tune to what is important in life. As I read what is written I get a little glimpse into what the person is like inside. The world make so much of what we are on the outside; when in reality, it's the inside that is most important.

Thanks for the thoughts. I will definitely try to be more appreciative of what I am able to do and use it to help others following both of your examples.
