I have a few of these growing near the mother plant. Anyone want a trade of these for rooted cuttings of shrubs, Daylilies, Iris or any sun loving plants that are perennial? These grow pretty fast so I need to trade soon.

CLOSED: Japanese Rice Paper plant
Hi. :) I saw that it's hardy to zone 6 but do you think it might make it if I mulch it heavily in zone 5b?
if you decide to do one for postage let me know. i have a piece of ugly fence it can have. the neighbors in back of me decided to start clearing and left a gaping hole in the landscape. hate looking at it.
Beccalynns, I don't know for sure. I plant mine next to the house and it dies to the ground every fall and comes back up. A heavy mulch in a protected area might work. Also, You could bring the root in and keep it in the garage over the winter. It is like a runner Elephant ear and the new plants sprout along the root system. If it pops into the lawn, I just mow it and it gives up.
I wouldn't put it on a fence line unless someone on the other side doesnt' mind. It does travel.
You might get some flowers in zone 8a but here I just get the huge leaves before frost every year knocks it to the ground.
imzadi, I don't know how much postage to send a plant priority. It needs to get to its destination quickly as the days are heating up.
Windy, I'd love to grow these. Would you be interested in cannas, sedums, or un-rooted cuttings of various trees/shrubs?
