I live in Jonesboro, Ark, about an hour from Memphis TN, 2.5 hrs from Little Rock, 30 minutes from Cardwell MO. Does anyone live close enough for an in-person trade?
I have lots of plants to trade--artemesias, daffodils, sedums, cannas, daylilies, irises, other perennials and tropicals/houseplants. Check my trade list for a few of the plants I have to trade.

I'd like to trade "named" plants for other "named" plants of equal value. Some of my more abundant plants I'll trade for a bucket of coffee grounds, bags of peat humus, bottles or bags of chemicals like Preen, Roundup, and chemicals to kill fleas, ticks, and other bugs in the yard. I'll also trade for wood-burned signs for my gardens, a wheelbarrow, a pitchfork, and anything else I can use in my gardens. Of course, I'll trade for plants from my wish list too if you have any of those.
Also, I have several FLATS of rose colored alyssum I'll never use. I bought an entire rack of plants at Lowes for $20 and most of the plants were perennials, which I've kept and planted. But I won't mess with the alyssum. Right now it looks healthy, but before long I'll simply toss it unless someone comes to get it.
For new gardeners, if you're not too picky, I could send you home with a trunkload of plants that I have in abundance--artemesia, vinca major variegata, yellow flag iris, soapwort, chameleon plant, different kinds of wild violets, etc. Some of these are considered invasive by some gardeners. I grow them because I love them. They do spread well and quickly cover an area, but each has its own special feature that keeps it growing in my gardens.
If anyone is interested, let me know. I will not mail any of this for postage.
One Last Time: In Person Trade Anyone?
Love this thread hate we aren't closer. You can go to one of the fast coffee shops like Star Bucks and they will give you coffee grounds probably. I bought a 10 gallon trash can and they filled fulled it full of grounds from ours store here in Raleigh.

Butterfly - sure wish I was closer! I'd take you up on it.
We don't have a Starbucks here...yet. Seems everyone is moving in though so we probably will soon. Someone came from Little Rock for a trade and brought me a 5 gallon bucket full of coffee grounds from Starbucks there. Mmmmmm, it smells so good!
Wish y'all lived closer. I have a few plants left, but I did find a few people locally to take the plants. One girl is brand new to gardening. In fact, she didn't even know how to prepare a bed. I sent her home with a carload of plants and instructions and she's so delighted.
If y'all ever visit the south, holler at me! I'm sure I'll have more to give away later.

I use coffee grounds for my blueberry plants and I get mine from a local dinner I go to for breakfast often. I just take a five gallon plastic pail with a cover and leave it there, only to pick it up the next day, full. As a side note, my wife loves this cause when I need the gounds, she gets to go out for breakfast on me twice!
Yes, I can get coffee grounds here too. Any of the small coffee shops will give them to me.
I put coffee grounds on my "wish list" so people who don't have plants to trade could simply bring coffee grounds to trade. People always say, "I don't have anything to trade, but I want, I want." This way, they can easily come up with something to trade--something they can get for free at any coffee shop, and it will save me the trouble of having to go into town and get them.
I can also get free horse manure from my uncle...if I just had the time to go get it. These days, I just have so many projects to catch up on. Now that my health is much better, I try to take advantage of all my energy to accomplish "chores" that had to be put off for so long.
Thanks for the input, y'all. So when are y'all gonna bring me some coffee grounds and take home some of these plants? LOL
