This weekend I decided it was time to do some digging. This place hasn't had plants in it probably ever...so I had a job ahead of me. But in the end I think it turned out ok. Most things are not in their permanent place...I just wanted to get them in the ground this year to grow. This way I will be able to see what does well where and what doesn't.

There are some daylilies in there that were given to me by a fellow labmate. Also my first rosebush, some cosmos, a couple herbs, a hibiscus that I know will not survive the winter but it can overwinter in the GH, some datura seedlings, brug cuttings, cleome, I guess all in all a hodgepodge of things. It still needs some kind of edging but that will have to be in next month's budget. Just wanted to show off my hard work...lol.

My weekend efforts...
Looking good! It will really look good when the roses and stuff grow up and fill in behind. I hope that was not Bermuda you had to dig. I have a couple beds I need to start, but I am just dreading it because I have to remove the bermuda.
Getting past the top clumps of Bermuda is tough. I've been digging holes for the fruit trees I bought in January and put in pots.
Kim, you did an awful lot of work in one day. My hat goes off to you. It's going to look good once the plants have filled out.
