Here's the anemonella thalictroides I probably spent too much on last fall

I imagine you did spend some money on that Anemonella...double forms are VERY pricy, but not as much as double hepaticas that sell for over $200!

I have Lawrence Crocker but mine doesn't flower until June-July!

The advantages of really getting to know people in your NARGS chapter: someone gave me my 'Shoaf's Double' Anemone. And it is just as tough as the species.

Rick - you are so right! I got a couple of double sanguinaria canadensis last year for just a couple
bucks each at our plant sale. I see them in catalogs for 10X what I paid.

I was lucky to get my double sanguinaria very cheaply years ago and it is now a substantial clump. I love that daphne! It's a gorgeous colour. I planted a tiny tangutica and a retusa in my raised bed and had to take both out as they grew into huge plants! Hope they survive the move. I also think that anemonella was worth shelling out for - it's superb!

I'm going to dig out the crocus - the folliage is obscuring the daphne! I didn't know where the
bulbs were when I planted it last fall. (I'll find a nice home for them elsewhere. The rock garden
is prime real estate).
