jesse i remember all the wonderful daylillies in NC...i am sure they're either blooming or getting ready to...the I-95 rest stops were just beuatiful with them
I have not seen any in my area, but I'm sure there are some growing somewhere. Maybe DH and I should take a drive and take the camera with us and get some great photos. Have a great day. Thanks for sharing.

jacki..i have a dear friend who lives on one of the islands near spokane..she has to take a ferry to leave etc...and she has had a cold rainy winter/early spring...but lots of things blooming for her....you live in a lovely area...
Bob...I wish I lived over by your friend...she must live near the coast. Maybe near the Seattle area? It is so beautiful there...it's a rainforest environment! Always green. We are 300 miles inland...on the eastern-most edge of the state. I have to work a bit more for the green over here :(
Whenever DH and I go over there, we always take the ferry for a ride. The island area is spectacular!!

Planti, so you live in Spokane. There is a great writer who lives there. He is a native american indian called Sherman Alexie. I have read his books and am a big fan of his. I have always wanted to meet him. Have you heard of him?

I have read all of Sherman Alexie's novels (not up on all his poetry, however) and have gone to listen to him give a talk. He is just a great writer and a real cool guy!! We are lucky to have him around..

"Did I get up early or go to bed late?" Actually, a little of both... I was in bed before 2 am, but got up around 4 for an hour, then managed to get back to sleep until time to get up & going at 9... Good thing I didn't have to get up early!
We *always* have bunnies in our yard. I keep their numbers reasonable by relocation. I catch them in Grandpa's wooden rabbit trap every so often and "take them for a ride in the country." LOL, that's what Grandpa always said he did with the ones he caught in Grandma's garden... and for years, we figured it was a euphamism for "take them around the corner & knock them on the head" (Grandpa was a farmer, and farmers tend to be practical like that)... but we were out driving in the country once, near his old farm, and Grandpa pointed out the nice grassy field on the verge of a wood, near a bubbling creek, and said that's where he always took the rabbits! :-) So now I do the same... last year, 26 rabbits and 2 groundhogs participated in my relocation program!
This year, I am hoping to relocate a couple of the adults before we are overrun with baby bunnies again. At least they seem happy eating the plentiful clover in our back yard, so they didn't do much damage in the garden... I sprinkle cat hair and scented geranium & mint leaves around in the veggie beds, and that may help also.
Jim (DH) put out Grandpa's rabbit trap last night, despite my protests that it just seemed wrong to have the trap out on Easter.... like setting a bear trap in the fireplace on Christmas Eve! LOL

Jill...that's delightful and glad you relocate them to better place...Linda I only have 2 clematis..but one is blooming also...i only got them last year...i am hoping they will grow real big..
