there is no such species... Aloe concinna is a synonym for Aloe squarrosa, which this could be, but it looks more like Aloe juvenna to me. Either way, there should not be an entry for this 'species' in the plant files

i saw this plant its different from aloe juevenna

Palmbob,
I am also confused in these species i.e,A.concinna,A.squarrosa,A.juvenna.but Aloe squarrosa have conjucted leaves, the leaves are also short then A.concinna.
I think the Aloes are very hard to identify.
Palmbob,is any technique to identify Aloes especially spotted Aloes?I have also post some Aloes for identification but you give ID for only one.
Thanks
Yasir

hah! I have no idea how to tell most spotted aloes apart- even their flowers look similar... on top of that, many look totally different depending on how they're grown.. if grown in shade, Aloe juvenna can look exactly as they do in the above photo.. if grown in full sun, they look much shorter and stockier, and more upright.. Aloe squarrosa is about 2-3x the size of Aloe juvenna in terms of its rosettes, but I have seen some smallish Aloe squarrosas that approach Aloe juvenna... but aloe squarrosa grows differently, too... much slower plant, both in terms of suckering and growing taller. The spots are Aloe squarrosa are round and very distinct, but can sometimes be oblong and faint on Aloe juvenna. Aloe juvenna also has much finer teeth, more closely spaced together... though that is just a matter of its overall smaller size I think. I am sure they are probably closely related. I am going to write an article on spotted aloes soon expanding on this impossibility of being able to tell them apart... they are a nightmare!
