My son's buddy knocked the 4" fruit from the plant. It was doing wonderfully in a pot on the lanaii. Will another grow? Should I scalp this poor, little guy and plant him? The plant was a gift and I am very disappointed.
Last time that little heathen spends the night! (kidding. maybe.)

Pineapple HELP, please?
No, you won't get that plant to grow another pineapple, but the plant can put out new plants (offshoots) from the root section, from below the fruit stalk or you could scalp the little guy and start a new plant. Don't plant the top right away. Follow the recommendation in this link.
