Any Elephant ear experts willing to tell me what they think?

I posted earlier and didn't have a picture, now I do and would love to know if any of you who know your EE can tell me what I have and if I should move them now or wait. I counted and actually have 17 tubers? I think is what they call the bulbs of the plant?? Again sorry for the double post, a newbie gaining a little experience I guess.

Looks to be common Colocasia Esculenta you can easily move them now with a shovel or spade. Seperate them and place in a empty pot or container that can breath till you get to your new home.

As for bulb or tuber. Aroids have tubers and colocasia is a aroid. A bulb is very similar. I have to have a few long discussions but the difference is when you cut a bulb open you will see the beginings of new leaves and flowers being developed inside a bulb has layers. As for a tuber it is basically starch and all the development happens as it grows out from the tuber so if cut nothing inside but starch.

I back up Brian....(who quite honestly has never been wrong)
I would separate them, give them a little space to grow individually, and redevelop themselves.

Thank you so much for the information, I will do what you have suggested! And thanks you for the education on bulbs vs. tubers. I honestly had no idea.
