I wanted to give an official welcome to my sister, Bamabelle. She has recently moved back to the south. She and her hubby were living somewhere in the cold. They are both cancer survivors and I am so glad they are now closer to home. They are living in Headland Alabama, which is near Dothan. Her yard has a lot of work that needs to be done, but has a lot of potential. Welcome, Sis!!!
Welcome to my sis, Bamabelle

Steve
Hi welcome nice to have you jump right in..
Hmmm...somehow I missed my sis' sweet note! Yep, I was a bad girl in a previous life and had been banished to the frozen tundra of the Midwestern US (hey, when you were raised in FL and AL, the Midwest IS the frozen tundra!) Fortunately, I survived the ice storms of KC and the annual invasions of the Albino Brain Chiggers in Illinois. Now that I've got my toes dug into the the Alabama soil, I'm never leaving it again! In fact, I could swear I've started to grow roots...
The closest I have come to having a garden in the last six years was a container garden on the porch of the townhouse where we lived in KC, and the hanging plants that I pretty much killed in Illinois. Rylaff kept me going by sending me tons of pics of her gorgeous plants. Now I've got 1/3 of an acre and lots of weeds. Fortunately, I've got a great sis who is having a ball playing mentor and helping me get my gardens in shape. The yard is another story...it'll take a couple of years to get rid of all the weeds and bermuda grass. But it will give me something to work for, right?
Thanks for all the kind words of welcome and I hope to see ya'll around the plant forums.
OK, have to ask...what is an Albino Brain Chigger?
