Yes Katrun, it was amazing to be side by side with that unbelievable living thing! Here is another picture of Baobab Za with colorful Malagasy people.

I read in a text book, it said those giant specimen should be more than 500 years old!!! and some extraordinary one may be nearly 1,000 years of age!!!

I just posted some pictures of another species of Baobab which I visited in west Madagascar : Adansonia drandidieri, to PF forum, but I'm not sure if they are pending. Anyway, here for all of you who love Baobab.
