Nice one kell. Looks like you got yourself a moth too. Is it a hummingbird moth by chance?
Hi Broots. It is a bee! LOL. I have this plant but mine in a 4 inch pot that I place on a bigger pot last year and forgot it. Th eroots seem to have gone thru the holes in the 4inch pot to the bottom pot. The plant in it is about 9 inches tall and wide and has mini flowers all over it. I love it. When it gorws to a huge bush i will not be sohappy. LOL
Boy, do I feel dumb. He/she just doesn't look like a normal bee with those big antennae. I think it is time to transplant. It sure has a beautiful bloom.
Oh do not feel dumb, hard to get a perspective on size in pics. They were odd looking bees, they were grey with huge eyes. Bug eyes, LOL! Tiny bees, too. Maybe babies?
I love this plant, bought mine last year in a 4" pot at Annie's and put it in a 10" one and it's about 2 ft tall. I really need to decide where to put it in the ground now that I saw how big they really get after seeing it at The Berkeley Nursery.
