I have a couple trades of this peony...will send a tuber that has a bud so you know it'll bloom!
I am looking for a trade of equal value (approx $30) of the following that MUST be hardy here in zone 4/5.
Unusual:
Grasses
Bamboo (tall, non invasive)

Gosh, Cathy
I didn't get early enough. I looked at these at the Nashville Garden Show.

There was talk of a co-op for these and it fell through. :( I think it had to do with shipping times?
Hello Everyone...I am considering the offers that have been presented to me. These usually bloom around Mothers Day and are just poking out of the ground now, so I have a little while to make up my mind!
Thanks!
Sandy
Oh that is SOOOOO pretty..too bad I am too far south to have things for your hardiness zone :(
I just got one of these at my favorite local garden center! I paid $44 for it, but it has 4 eyes/stems coming up, not to mention one fat flower bud, so I was pretty happy with the price. It's still the most I've ever paid to date for a potted perennial though, so it had better survive! I kicked a very happy white peony out of the corner of the front bed (not to worry, did not kick it to the curb, LOL, just transplanted it to another bed), figuring that a spot that worked to make one peony happy would also work for my special new one!
I was happily surprised to discover that the fernleaf ones are shorter than "regular" peonies... that will actually suit the spot (by the corner of my front walk) better.
All of which is just to say... Thank you for posting that picture! That's what I hope mine will look like when it grows up! :-)
Absolutely gorgeous! I had no idea these existed! Great photo!
