I can't believe the number of blooms on this plant
First Robin Trailer
Since putting this trailer in the pan pot it has almost doubled in size. There are three new crowns and the blooms just keep on coming. The colors of the blooms are very springy. First Robin in a good name.
Nanna it's so pretty! What do you mean by "pan pot"? Remember, type slowly, sometimes I am not as smart as I look. LOL.
Very pretty!
beautiful!!!!!!!!

Hi Nanna,
That is so pretty! Thank you for sharing it with us.

Beautiful Nanna! I really like the trailers and the pink is great
A pan pot is more shallow than the regular azalea pot. They are perfect for trailers because the root system will develop faster (they don't have to go as deep) and there is room for the multiple crown of the trailer to spread out.
The depth of the pan pot is only 3 inches whereas the azalea pots are 4 to 5 inches.
Nanna thanks, I was having one of those DUH! episodes- somebody has got to remind me to put my brain in gear! Do you put all your trailers in pot pans? I have Rob's Humpty Doo & yes it's blooming, but it grows funny, not like I'd expect- do you think it would do better in a pot pan?
Maybe. Sometimes you have to put the runners where you want them to go. Rob suggests securing them in place. I didn't have to do that with Sticky Wicket but Gundaroo has a mind of its own and I might have to work with it.
Check out the instructions for trailers on the Violet Barn site. I think it is in the stickey.
Pan pots are pretty wide. 5 inch is 5 inch all around so the plant has to be big enough for it . I have a hugh trailer in a 5 inch pan pot doing great. I take leaves off every once in a whie to share with others.
I also use pan pots for Streps, Epsicas, and Laurie told me Begonias like them too :))
Thank you.
I sent couple people First Robin Trailer :)) I'd forget who ? I'd have to look it up. Who got First Robin Trailers from me ?? How are they growing ? I have two little babies left.
