I need help...how do I start my lavender seeds?

I put mine (5 seeds at a time) into cut up (in 4th's) paper towels & sprayed till wet with the peroxide water treatment; then folded them up & placed all folded into one zipper lock bag & placed that into the fridge for one week.
I took them out then sprayed them more with the peroxide water treatment after I put them ontop of the soil. I barely covered them up with a light dusting of finely sifted peat moss. I diluted the solution to one tablespoon of peroxide per 8 ounces of water & misted them every day only dampening the soil. They took ten days to show through the top of the soil then, as opposed to taking 40 days.
Do you know what kind of lavender seeds they are?

I got them in a trade I think Hidcote and english...I will do like you said...wish me luck...I want lavender sooo badly.heehee
