Hi everyone,
This plant, grwoing fast from seed, has stumped us. A few comments from friends have been castor Bean (which we don't thing it is) to Plum Poppy (which we also have our doubts).
Were told that it grows to about 6 ft or so and has a stand up reddish plume.
Any suggestions and/or comments appreciated.
Need to identify this young plant
You should maybe post it in the identification forum.
Hi BogieFan. First let me say Welcome!!! to Dave's Garden. And then I have to say, I think you are right on what this plant isn't and I'm sorry but I'm not going to be much help. It looks a bit familiar, but it's not ringing my bell yet. Carol is right, you would probably do better to ask in the Identification forum.

Thanks for your replies fancyvan and echoes!
I was talking to our local garden centre "plant specialist" last weekend, showed them the pic, and they are sure that it is indeed the Castor Bean plant.
We'll let them grow and find out as time goes by.
Looks like one of those that look very different whena young plant compared to what they will look like as they mature.
Time will tell!
Thanks again.
Welcome to Dave's Bogiefan! :)
