I bought a strawberry begonia, yesterday. I need to figure out what I'm going to do with it. The leaves are beautiful and the baby shoots are going every which way.

Yup those are hooked right to the wall. And nope that stand does not have overhead lights..it has too stand lights on each side though :) and it seems to keep the plants happy enough..the room also has two huge windows :) and 2 other light stands :)

Well I think it was critter that talked about the lighting grids...which is what I bought..on each side I have full spectrum floor lamps :)
That is neat. I have one stand with not lights but it's practicaly touching a window on two sides of the stand so it seems find. Mostly leaves and gessies on it. Plants then maybe something like you have would be good.
How many hours a day can you use them ? Do they get hot ?
Well I am using them less and less since the light in the room and the light from the other stands seems to keep everyone happy and in bloom :)
They do get warm but they are made to be on..I have the clip on style ones in many places that a traditional light set up would not work :) I also have one on each side of my terrarium and they seem to work very well for that.
I will take some photos of them tomorrow to show ya if you like
