Yippie!!! My older son who stayed with us since last September moved last weekend. That has given me a whole room to myself and my plants. I have been really excited about this since hearing that he was vacating.
This winter I have really given a lot of attention to my houseplants and also started some things inside that will be going outside as soon as weather cooperates. So, if a person were to come to my place they would see in every corner, nook and cranny plants sitting everywhere.
I have already moved some of the plants in there to a window which gets a good dose of morning sun. This week I have also potted up some pieces of several things that were rooting in water. As for furniture arrangement, I haven't gotten that far yet. I will also be putting furniture pieces in there that have been in temporary spots this past winter.
I do know that last fall I purchased an old glass front bookcase from an antiques dealer and I have never had space for. It has been in my outside shed since I bought it. It too is destined for my plant room. The plant room will also serve as "my library." I have a years worth of magazines that I haven't had time to look at.
When I finally have things set up there, I will try to take pics and share with you folks. I am having a great time with it.

New Plant Room
Can feel your excitement - LOL. I remember chuckling over a previous post that I think you made about this subject but didn't get around to responding at the time.
A whole 'nother room - go for it!
Have a great time with it Ruby. Can't wait to see your pics.
Hi Guys - Didn't get much done to room over the weekend. I do have two tables set up with plants on them. One of the tables is holding houseplants and the other is holding plants that will eventually be planted in ground.
While being starved for space this winter, I stuck plants everywhere in the house that got any amount of sun. Some of the plants did so well in their new spots that I have decided to keep them there.
Pics will be posted after things are better arranged, mick. As for chuckling about my predicament regarding space, get this.....I had both of my sons move back in with me last fall after being out of home for 8 years. How is that for big surprise? haha
Anyway, at least I have a project to keep me busy while waiting for the ground to warm a bit more so that I can begin working outside.
Thank you both for your responses. i look forward to reading them.

Oh my gosh, two came back at once - that would be a big surprise! I currently have only one 'bounce-back' kid but she comes complete with two dogs & two cats, not to mention fish. I'm working on it - LOL - plus it's a nice sunny room that she's in, hmmm? I had in mind a guest room but that maybe could be combined with a plant room.
Will be looking forward to your pics - might give me some ideas.
Hi six - So far the two main items that I have in the room that I know will be staying are a small metal and glass coffee table and a large mirror. The thing that makes these two items so special to me is that they are painted fire engine red. haha
They are both second hand items. Before becoming so involved with plants this past year, I used to spend much of my time in thrift stores, estate sales and at country auctions.
There are also going to be a few other pieces of furniture that haven't found permanent homes since I moved here in May of 2005. Silly me, moved in to a house half the size of my previous one. Little did I know that my two boys would be back with me so soon. haha - I do love them both loads!!! But with older son's case, twenty five years old is definitely time to be out from under momma's apron strings.
I am also finding that I have an affection for pictures of flowers. So far, there are three rather large sized pictures that will need to find a home in this room . They just haven't been right in the other spots in the home.
A friend pointed out to me last year while I was moving in that my bedroom theme seemed to include a lot of birds. The pictures, nic nacks and even the hanging hooks are bird themed. Didn't do it intentionally, just happened.
Anyway, I have found the camera and when I finish the taxes I will attempt to take a "before" pic and see if I can figure how to post here on the new computer that is less than a month old. So much to learn and so little times. ha ha
Have a happy day all.
Ruby
