Too bad that the rain was accompanied by lightening, thunder and lots of wind. Anyway, I am grateful for the little rain that we got last evening. More is expected through out today and I am looking forward to it also.
Seems that for weeks my husband tells me each day that it is supposed to rain, and each time it has passed us by. We need every drop that we can get. I have recently planted some new shrubs that desperately need the water.
Just my two cents on the little moisture that we had last evening. Here is hoping that all of you who are as dry as my area, will get a good soaking today.
Ruby
finally had a good rain shower
it is wonderfully rainy today - what we need is two full weeks of this. Rain dance anyone?
Mercy...I was getting weary of lugging out the watering cans!!! Now I'm wondering how the agaves/yuccas will appreciate this all at once. Can't win...LOL
you grow agave's around here ??
roxroe, I'm dancing as fast as I can! Now that it's finally worked I'm inspired to keep it up in the interest of 2 more weeks of slow, steady rain (maybe one day each week sunny??)
Hubby just told me that it is calling for rain later this week. Yippie!!!

roxroe,
Yes to agaves...just have to find the types that are hardy to our temps. There's folks growing yuccas up in Maine and someone I spoke to that grows Cacti in Minn. Pretty cool eh?
Chantell
well I have seen cacti growing out in the mountains around here but I have never seen an agave about.
here is hoping that people south of us are getting some rain?!
We have had no luck so far......been threatening for a day or so but so far nothing but sprinkles
I'm keeping my fingers crossed, roxroe. Figured for sure when I started spraying Messenger this morning that it would inspire instant showers; but no such luck. The bugs are already starting to take their toll. I found a hydrangea all eaten up last night.
Yeah...don't I know it!! Been going out with my little ole can "refreshing" all the newbie plants that need a sip or two! :)
Try scraping and painting your house...DH did that here yesterday and within half an hour the rain started falling. (The drought hasn't been so bad on the other side of the mountains, though.)
pam
need to do that anyway!
