Yes done it lot's of times. Most times I don't as I haves o many to do. What I do as I have so many trabs-planting to do is mold the soil all around the sides and bottom of the pots when I don't take the time to put a pot in the middle. This way therei s new soil on the bottom and the side for new root growth !

So you press soil around the edges and leave the center open (no soil). Then you take the plant with all of its soil out of the 2 inch container, place it in the center and press more dirt around the original plant/soil. Is this correct? Sounds like you save an extra step. Linda

Well I wick and then have soil on the bottom and sides just middle open. 99 percent of the time when I trans-palnt lots of old soil is taken off of plants sometimes even roots trimed. then put into the new pot/new soil.
