i am taking my 8 year old daughter to the doctor monday and am going to ask the doctor to do some blood testing. i am worried about her. she has been having headaches, skin rash and itchiness, vomiting (for a day at a time every 2 weeks), some bruising not horrible but some and now bad nose bleeds. she does have allergies but i am just worried with all the symptoms together and need some peace of mind. i hate to be a worry wort but these symptoms together could be bad. i will check in some throughout today and won't be on much this weekend as my husband is home on the weekends. i will respond at some point to post. just keep us in your thoughts and prayers.
p.s. she had a horrible nose bleed this morning while watching t.v. it was the worst yet.
kelly
o.t but please keep us in thoughts...
My prayers are with you Kelly. It's always safe to let the doctors do their thing. Please remember you, as her mother, will receive promptings and feelings. Go with them. Don't give in to the doctor unless you feel comfortable. "Mom knows best" is not just a saying.
I'll be thinking of you this weekend and praying for you and your daughter. Chin up!!! Think good thoughts!!

Kelly, is she OK at school? No one bullying her? My son got very ill when he was about 12. He even had a brain scan as the doctors thought he had a tumor. he would fall all the time, vomit, have terrible headaches. It was all to do with bullying at school. He got very ill physically.
thanks so much! i have been worried for awhile now but have kept positive saying oh its nothing but symptoms keep adding and progressing. when i made her appointment i flat out told them they are going to do some blood test. if they won't we will see another doctor. i took her not long ago about the rashes and headache. the doctor (well physicians assistant) said oh headaches are stress. i thought what stress she is 8 and family life is fine. so this time i said no p.a. the doctor only.

spider she is at home on spring break right now. school is good. she is very popular and has lots of friends. she was just sitting watching t.v. and the nose bleed occured. she has had several in the last few weeks. the only one aggrivating her would be the 3 year old lol. but for the most they get along except for the occasional sisterly spat. and she gets along as well as can be expected with my 9 year old son. yall i feel as i am being a worry wort but would feel bad if something was wrong and i didn't take her.

Kelly,
I think it's a good idea to take her to the doctor. Hopefully it is just allergies - my uncle's allergies were so bad he used to have seizures until they figured it out.
Sharon
Oh, I am so sorry. I will keep you both in my prayers. Allergies can be really bad.
Please Kelly, don't worry. She will be OK. I know it is a difficult time but things will work out. We are here sending you all positive thoughts.
Kelly...i can't quite remember..but when i was small i would get nosebleeds and it was cause somehow by my tonsils...something like that..but you are wise to get her checked out...our prayers and positive thoughts are with you....our love surrounds you all..
I will be praying for her and asking for wisdom. Linda

That's great Kelly ! Happy to hear you had a great day ! Tomorrow will be even better :))
tomorrow is always better!!
Kids can be frightening when they are ill- I am hoping for the best for you and your daughter. I can't overcome my training, please make sure that you follow up w/ the doctors, etc. hopefully it is much ado about nothing, but it helps to have a professional tell you it's nothing but allergies or whatever and nothing serious. I am sure that she needs a big hug but I am guessing that you do also! You are in my thoughts.
okay we are back from the doctor and she said the headaches don't seem to be allergy or sinus related so she wants to do a catscan. we will have it done 10 days from now after insurance approval. she has been feeling good the past few days. we were at the doctor from 11:05 to about 1:00. i asked about bloodwork but the doctor said not yet. the doctor said when you have an serious illness that shows up in bloodwork you usually have trouble gaining weight and mallory is gaining fine. hopefully the c.t. scan will come back good!
kelly
Kelly
CT scan is a good safe start to look at her head! Hang in there. Still keeping you and your family in my thoughts and hoping for the best for all of you!

Kelly....sorry I'd missed this, as well.
Sending warm thoughts and prayers your way......did you find out anything more?
I'm betting it's the allergies, but definitely better safe than sorry!
Beautiful kids, BTW.....my oldest girl is a 'Kaylee', too...she was the first one around here with that name, and now there are lots of them younger than her!
