Ontario Gardening Show

(Zone 6a)

Hello Everyone! The 4 day annual gardening show at the Royal Botanical Gardens in Burlington, Ontario started today. I was there this afternoon and it was my first time going to it. It was awsome and if anyone's in the area I would recommend going. It was great fun!!!

Hey Steve, is that garden show running through til the weekend?
I know they have some sort of a plant sale at the RBG aboretum on May 6th from 9am until 12 noon. You know where I'll be that day ;)

(Zone 6a)

The show was in the Main building(which also houses the Mediterranean garden), so we didn't get around to see the other gardens. There was lots of garden decorations most of them at good prices too. Also wasn't really many live plants, just lots of tubers and bulbs like lilys, iris, four o'clocks, peonies ect. There was this one stall right by the enterance though and they were selling all their gallon shrubs for 5$!!! I don't really have alot of room for shrubs so I just got a forsythia. I hope to get out to the gardens again this summer and I'll be sure to take a camera this time!!!

Steve,
I'd love to go but (there's always a but, sigh) I have to go to Quebec and I'll be leaving in hour, returning later Sunday. Family stuff, ya know.
I did get to go to Canada Blooms and the garden show at the International Center so it's all good.

violets4you is an excellent Violet supplier here in Canada. She has a beautiful plant up for bid on ebay right now. Spanish Moss.

Another supplier on the West Coast that I highly recommend is exoticviolets. Chris has some lovely plants and a nice person too.
