Due to stupidity on joining two liners, I will be redoing the liner to our pond with one single larger liner. The joined liner leaks badly due to adding water before it set properly. Because we have clay soils the leaked water sits under the liner and creates a giant liner bubble. When we replace the old liner should I leave it in place, or remove it before placing the new liner? If I left the old liner in under the new one do you think I'll still get the bubble problem?
liner replacement: remove or leave old liner?
I am in the process of doing the same thing, and the man from the pond shop said I could use the old liner as a cushion, and not have to buy the stuff you normally put down before the liner to keep it from getting holes from rocks, etc. So I left my old one in; actually pulled it out and cleaned it off and put it back in.
