Oh but there is a sale this weekend at Fort Worth Botanical Garden. It is open to the public Saturday from 9-2pm. They also have Perennials, Groundcovers, Shrubs, Trees and Grasses. Rain or shine they will be there.
Oh, it's so bad for these people and organizations having plant sales and swaps when we have a RU, lol. Sounds like this will be a good one, but I will be glad to see you in College Station that day!
Yes, I have already asked them if they could have it another day, but it is set in stone, so nothing we can do, it would conflict with some of the important people who will be there.
It is especially sad for me because I have been working at the wildscape and the greenhouse 2 days a week, so I really hate to miss it.
They are going to let me buy some plants the day before so I feel better about that.
But I just couldn't miss the R.U. for anything that I can help.

Oh I know this was a dissapointment for you, but I'm so glad we get to have you to ourselves.
Great that you will be able to get some plants from there before you leave. You are one of the best native promoters they have and I know they will miss your presence on Sat. We will be very fortunate to have you at the RU for sure!!

Frostweed, what kind of trees will they have? I need some drought tolerant trees for the neighborhood. There is some low income housing nearby we are trying to help out.

Most of the trees they have are small. They have some Oaks, Roughleaf Dogwood, Mexican Buckeye, Possum Haw, Texas Redbud and Carolina Buckthorn.
The 1 gallon pots are $6.00.

I think i'm going to go and source some mexican buckeyes. I need to get rid of some things though, I have a large lace leaf japanese maple I might be interested in trading. Should I bring it? I'd let it go for a large mexican buckeye or desert willow.
Toby, the Wildscape thing is not a plant swap, it is plant sale to benefit the wildscape, so there will be no swapping, I didn't want you to get the wrong impression and be disappointed.
