I think I mentioned getting a new fish tank for my "Nemo" type clowns... I decided to post a thread over on the pet forum for pictures as the tank develops. No anemone yet.... just a new sand bed and some snails & hermits... but the clowns are dreaming!

I have to say this :)
I had clowns..they may not go to the anemone.
1. farm raised ne sometimes don't have the instinct to go to the anemone
2. the anemones need to be from the same area as the type of clowns you have :)
I just thought I would share this as I went through it when I had a saltwater tank.
The tank has since been traded in for 2 rescued parrots and 2 rescued dogs :) and of course my plants LOL
Not to worry, I've been reading up! They are tank raised clowns, but I'm hoping they'll figure it out. Oscillaris ("false percula") clowns should do well with a Ritteri anemone, and my LFS says they can order one for me... There are a couple others we can try also, but the Ritteri should be first to go into the tank since I think it's the type that's most prone to wandering around the tank before it finds a place to settle down. I had two tanks raised perculas in Chicago that took to a Ritteri anemone just fine, so I'm hopeful. :-)
Thanks Jill for sharing your fun with us ! I could not get the link to work ?
Cool Jill :) good luck!
Huh... the link worked the first time I tested it, but didn't work just now... I edited it & tested it, and it should work now!
Pretty cool Jill.
Thanks Jill !
The hermit crabs are all on the rocks again today, playing "King of the Castle"... too cute to see them balancing up there!
Beautiful Jill ! I am enjoying it ! Thanks so for sharing .
What is an anemone ? How big is the clownfish ?
How big do they get ? Will they have babies ?
I posted some responses on the thread in the pet forum.... Glad you're enjoying them!
Thanks Jill
