I love the gloriosas and have started collecting them. Would you consider trading some for a Golden Lotus Banana (Musella lasiocarpa)? My Golden Lotus Banana made several "pups" last year that I haven't separated yet from the parent plant.

jeremy, you will never believe this but i traded with a guy in calif. a few months ago for a m. lasiocarpa. i love it. but................how much does your pup weigh? and how many carsonii would you like for this? i got 6 rhizomes and i had given up on anyone trading with me. so i planted them today. i kept 2 out because i am trading with a guy in pakistan and he wants one. so i only have one that hasn't touched dirt yet. i also got a mixed pack of rothschildiana and lutea but won't know what they are till they bloom. now this guy in pakistan is sending me one of his gloriosa rhizomes (bulbs....whatever they are called). his looks like the rothschildiana but i wanted to see it anyway because there are 2 that are orange and red and one is more vivid i am told. also he already sent me about 25 seeds of his gloriosa. i haven't planted them yet if you are interested in some of those. which gloriosas do you currently grow? and no pressure on this end. we are all busy. so let's just make it fun.
I'd be game for one Gloriosa carsonii for one M. lasiocarpa. I could just add the banana into the box intended for you when I send it. I do also have M. basjoo and some other named varieties of bananas which might be of more interest to you since you already have M. lasiocarpa. I've labeled some of the bananas and know what they are (I'm not the best at keeping things properly identified). I can let you know which bananas I have and we can arrange a bananas for gloriosas trade now or at some future time when you have more of the gloriosas.
That would definitely be fun!

yes i want a basjoo and i wouldn't mind having another lasiocarpa as i would like to have 2 for my purposes. i can't reply much right now but will get back to you a little later on with other things i have that you might like. barb
these are not for sure as i just got these plants this year...........4 different kinds of iochroma.......it would be your choice of cuttings or give me time to root for you late summer/early fall. or melianthus major..........this plant is recuperating from being sent from calif. i thought it was dead but it is not and it is coming back strong. this would just be whenever it grows some more. i think it must be easy to take root. i have some other things but have to see what when they come up. usually when i trade i like to have my part ready. if i have to wait on your part i don't mind but it's my obsessive/compulsive nature to "get 'er done" so if we trade now it will drive me nuts till i can send you my plant. right now i have ..........red firespike. and something else..............it's either a double yellow datura or it's a double yellow brug. i thought it was a brug but some brug folks i talked to doubted it and i just can't remember which way the dang flowers hang. lmk if any of this interests you and we'll go from there. thanks. barb
