finally figured out the difference in the plant mix you use...you are using a different kind of PERLITE..than i'm used to...do you get yours in the small bags at ;the grocery store...scott brand?....
...NOW..look at your plants and the peachy pink strep...seems to get better texture all the time...and i have a sucker on the cherita in the back...should i take it off..or let it get bigger?
whoa..MIRA.....look at these colors.....and allison i have
beautiful bob!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i love it!
kelly
I get my perlite in huge bags at the LGS... but I think the stuff in the little bags from Scott's is pretty similar.
Those plants are really booming & blooming for ya! WOW!
jill..apparently they love that one flourescent light...lol....allison's perlite is completely different from the kind i get in 4 cuft bags at home depot...finally figured out the difference....but oh...i love the colors ...the streps are putting out some new blooms...now if i have enough sense to leave them alone....he he..
oopes..CHIRITA...think that's the spelling.
Bob I buy the big bags but last time Lowes and HD was out and we bought last 4 bags at Ace Hardware it might have been MG Perilite ? But it's the same to me.The CHIRITA you can keep the sucker on or take off and root into another plant. I've decided to keep mine on. It roots so fast into babies for me I like so far the suckers on mine ! It's one of my favorite plants !
Bob are your Choclate Soldier, Alice, Grey Ladie blooming ? In this heat and humdity and with even little lights they should bloom all the time :)) Alsobia Cygnet too :)) Though my Cygnets bloom best when I take the babies off and one of mine has zillions of babies and I have no time to take them off and pot them up.
morning allison..early here...up at 4am...my perlite seems to be bigger than yours...i know they have different grades...but the plants you sent me are doing great and i love the color and texture the alsobia is blooming as well...i have your plants under one flourescent light...don't believe they're too hot...but it WAS 87 yesterday...the episcias are not blooming right now...thanks for the advice on the Chirita...will leave it do its thing..enjoy the day and hugs...Bob
