The garden that is.
Notice we planted in furrows? WEll, we don't usually water with a sprinkler, as we have to water almost daily, and it's costly, so we lay the water hose in the furrow and let it flow to the end of the row. Works good.
We made our rows closer together this year, I got a mantis (generic) LOL and we'll see if I can keep them weed s out from inbetween the rows.
I'd love to put some straw or hay or something inbetween, but I'd get grass, and don't want that.
I'd rather pull weeds I guess.
got tomatoes, brocolli, 2 types of lettuce, cabbage, yellow squash, mustard greens, a row of yukon gold potatoes, 2 rows of spinach, 3 diff onions, radishes. a few other things I think, and still have to plant a couple more things.
just wanted to share the pic
Finally, it's in as much as it's gonna get
Looks great! I have zone envy...we are so beyond broccoli, lettuce, potatoes, spinich, radishes with the heat down here.
I think planting in the furrows appears to be your best option. And a smart one too.
We got 3 inches of rain earlier this week and 87 degrees today. These poor peppers are wilting from the heat...but not lack of water. LOL They will perk up in an hour or so! Doesn't seem to phase the pole beans next to them?!?
Debbie
we get alot of scorching heat here too. Not as much as you, it was about 85 the other day.
I don't think i'd like living in TX.
