conflict - Eudora and E-Z Antivirus

Anybody out there use the combination of Eudora for e-mail and E-Z Antivirus (Computer Associates)?

I just got a new computer with Media Centre XP. (I don't want or need most of the media centre stuff, but it came on the package we decided on).
Have used Eudora in the sponsored version for years, but just upgraded to Version 7. Never had any problems with E-Z Antivirus and Eudora in earlier versions, but with these, in order to download e-mail, I have to snooze the antivirus. (Not a real problem as long as I stay just to e-mail because it is scanned for viruses by my ISP as well). But if eudora tries to check for mail without the Antivirus being snoozed, Eudora locks up and I have to use Ctr-Alt-Delete to close it. Since Eudora is in the sponsored version, I don't get tech support and E-Z Antivirus support has been less than helpful.

Anyone got any ideas?
