Post any pictures you may have taken at the swap on 4/1/06 here. Hopefully you have more of the Iris Garden than my DH took! LOL!!
Here first are the iris pics he did get.
DFW Iris Tour/ Swap at Red Oak - Pictures
I got my chair from Mitch. My DH said he wasn't going to ask what I was going to do with it. LOL! A late arrival, Tina with goodies in tow. Remember that wagon that came in so handy when we had the swap at Arlington??? The parking was so far from the pavillion, if it hadn't been for Frank and that wagon, a few of us would have said forget it. LOL!
Thanks for the pictures, Sheila. Weren't Thuy and Anh at the Veteran's Park swap, too? Good for you, wearling your DG t-shirt, lol!
Sheila, thank you for posting the pictures, it all looked very nice, I wish i could have been there. May be next time.
Josephine.
Yes, that is where I first met everyone, it was my first swap. I asked if they were going to be at the State DG RU, but they may go to the Lewisville one that is the same day, not sure what they will decide. It would be a no brainer for me! They are registered with DG but aren't members, ....yet. LOL!
Tell DH he did a great job. Nice seeing it all again.
You are welcome Josephine, we wished you could have been there too.
Shelia, I love you DH Camera, such clarity! It fun to see everyone that was in Arlington, my first swap! I see Frank with the little red wagon, bless his heart. Oh my Chi is having a ball, rolling all over the ground with his papa watching! lol
What did Thuy and Ahn bring this time? I got something from them at the Arlington Swap I think I got from them, never took it out of the pot and its been outside all winter. it was about a inch tall, looked like ribbon. look at it now!

Nice and healthy, you took good care of it. Not sure what they brought. I missed a lot of swaps while fussing with the tent, then it began to rain!
What great pics, Sheila!
I ran out of Shasta daisies (never figured they'd be that popular!) & had to run home to get a few more, so I missed the rain.
By the time I got back, it was clearing, & lots of people stayed until about 3:00 PM.
I really enjoyed this swap:
we drew people from Dave's Garden, gardenweb, Ellis Co Master Gardeners, Ovilla Garden Club...& even 2 of my Realtor friends!
so there was a lot of conversation, a lot of different kinds of gardens & such.
Thanks to all who made it wonderful!
can't wait til the next one!
sylvia
ps: By the way, did everyone else sleep like a log last night???
My poor legs & knees & back &, uh, "bending-over" muscles were exhausted!
Great pictures everybody! Enjoyed it.
Mary Lee
Thanks for posting... Chi was a hand full but I think he hand fun, not too bad for being 2 and drug to these things.
It's a lot more fun when they're having fun too. Fun is much better than whining.:)
Mitch, maybe you could bring a wagon to pull him in, or that he can pull when he gets a bit older. That might make it more fun for him. I know he was a handful for you, but he really wasn't disruptive, you were very good with him.
As for my trial run for College Station, I won't have any problem making it to Posie4U's house, then on to I-35E & 287 to meet City_Sylvia and her friend. But I forgot to notice a business at 287 & I-35E that I can connect with her! Mitch or Sylviatexas, can you suggest a place to meet her?
ummmmm ... Lets see there is a waffle house (open 24 hours) right on the Waxahachie side of exchange (and down a little). Other then a car dealer there is nothing right at that corner. There is a McDs heading to Waxahachie too... not much else over there would be open but right behind the Waffle House is a Home Depot where you could meet in the parking lot over near the plants maybe?? All the above would be just past I35 on 287 almost or on 77.
Thank you Shelia for coming up with that...it was on my mind. maybe I can do a dry run in 'Ruby". Actually I never heard of 287, but I know a Home depot when I see one. LOL

Mitch my friend here at work google the info for me. She says I take
I-35 to EXIT 403 which is HWY 287 and the Home depot is right there. She called the Home depot.

Same HD I was telling you guys about.. I love that store.. I am there way to offten...
On the same pad as HD, on the more or less northwest corner of the intersection of 287 & State Hwy 77 (the north/south state highway just east of 35), there are a Waffle House, Taco Bueno, & Wendy's.
On the southwest side are a Tractor Supply Co & a McDonald's.
On the southeast side are, uh, the only thing I can think of is an IHOP just a little off the corner.
(Can you tell what my priorities are???)
By IHOP is a Great Wall and Starbucks... Starbucks in the Walmart parking lot would be abother great place to meet.. We used to live right behind that Walmart in a tiny tiny place before we bought our home here - you just cannot go wrong with Waxahachie no matter what you do there. If on 77 you keep going past HD on the right side of the road is the best place for plants in Dallas area I think - "The Greenery" just love it.
