Anyone have extra plants or cuttings? Please :)

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

I moved in November, finally got my acreage!! Wooo hooo! I also gave up my warm cozy garage with cement walls, under my house. I do have a huge garage here but it's not insulated nearly as well. I have not dragged my brugs out yet to warm them up and see if they are alive or not. I'm almost afraid. LOL Anyway, I'd like to have a back up plan just in case they didn't fare well this past winter. I don't care so much about names, but I would want to know what color.

If you have something to spare, please let me know. I have all sorts of goodies to trade.

Augusta, AR(Zone 8a)

Hi Badseed,
I have a few well rooted brug cuttings in yellow and pink, but they are mixed. I am interested in your daylilies. Which ones do you have?

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

Hi! I wasn't really offering daylilies at the moment as I am in the process of reorganizing my spread sheets and remapping them. I have over 400 of them in varying quantities and am preparing them for sale. Did you have something in particular in mind? Do you know which brug is which?

Yukon, OK(Zone 7b)

How funny! I just noticed that our time just changed, and it went backwards!

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

Doesn't it normally not change until like 2AM?? Kind of funny for me to answer a question before it was asked. LOL

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

LOL Jim! It's not a biggie. Mine out in the garage might be fine. I have to get more stuff out of the greenhouse and into the hoophouse then I can see. :)

I have some tropical hibiscus, batface cuphea, canna musifolia, etc. I thought it might be nice to trade some for brugs. Oh well....

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

Stop that! LOL And no to which?? LOL

Yukon, OK(Zone 7b)

LOL Jim...too fuuny!

Hey Chele, you're right......it's supposed to change at 2AM, but it's supposed to go forward, not backward! LOL Again...too funny Jim!

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

What is Dave doing to us now?? And yes, it is "spring forward". LOL I am too sick and tired to think straight.

Hey I will have some cuttings later for you sure nuff. I owe you for the hot pink iris that you gave me at the Tn. roundup any way. Just got to wait for them to put out and the side shoots I always root anyway. I will remember.

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

You don't owe me anything!!!! I'm always happy to share. :)

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

Chele, I have some cuttings rooted or I can take more and let you root them. I've really thinned the varieties down to the ones that do well here, but you're welcome to what I've got.

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

Susie, anything you don't need would be great! I'm not that picky about them. :) I just want to see some nice blooms and I'm trying to make the front yard really eye catching so people will stop here. I have the other plants for you in the greenhouse. You are welcome to anything else I have. Do you know where to look?

Oh, I got invited to join the local garden club!

Keaau, HI(Zone 11)

Chele...time to prune .... Dmail me with what you want...in the box with the ears etc. Thanks to people here on this wonderful forum I am blessed with some wonderful brugs....many of which I haven't a clue what they are called....many seedlings. What is your favorite color? Maya? P&C? Snowbank?

Hugs

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

Chele, I can send you an assorted box of rooted cuttings, then whenever you're ready for more, just let me know. I need to get Donna's brug out to her too, so this will make me get busy!

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

You are too good to me Carol! Hey, did your box get there? I have some other stuff you might like too and will write in a bit.

I received my first brug from Brugie then several more from calalily then several each year from Mystic and in between all that, the lines sort of blur! LOL

Maybe I should build a spring house....or rob a bank and build a big conservatory....(if I get caught I bet I'd get a big conservatory for free. LOL).

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

Morning Susie!

Sunday and Monday night there will be a bit of a dip in the evening temps but the rest this week looks like mid 40s plus at night. I plan to put them in the polycarb greenhouse since I am keeping it heated when it goes below 50. I have seedlings in there and am about to drag out my ears and nanners and see how they did. Moving going into winter sure has me nervous!

Thank you ladies! You rock!

Augusta, AR(Zone 8a)

Badseed,
I didn't mean to presume about the daylilies. I looked at your trade list, and that's how I came up with that ideal.
The cuttings are mixed, and I don't know which is which, but if you'd like some I can send for postage. I am truly sorry for any misunderstanding =).

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

I see people are fighting over who will send you brugs. LOL. So you are sick Chele? A spring cold? Hope you are feeling better soon!!

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

No biggie Eden. :) I thought I had edited my list regarding daylily trades. I'll have to go look. They are sprouting like mad here and I just realized last week that I lost a bunch of my evergreens. I guess that is to be expected since I moved so late in the year. I've had to make lots of concessions to start living my dream and so far, no regrets. Things could be better of course, but they could always be worse. Life is good. I just need more hours in a day and maybe 1-2 more of me. Let me look later today or tomorrow and see what I can promise. They are nice and healthy, just a little short still in zone 6. LOL

Thank you for asking Kell. I have a raging case of bronchitis. Another thing I gave up when I moved-having my doctor right across the street. Hubby is at the other house today and the DR was leaving just as he arrived so they did not get to chat. I left him a message. Hopefull he will call me in some meds. On a good note, he is also moving out this way. He is younger, listens and is absolutely a great guy.

Augusta, AR(Zone 8a)

Badseed you are absolutely right. You did have that disclaimer on your hems. If I would of paid closer attention to the details I would of known that. I am still trying to work my way around DG. LoL, I'm a dumb dumb. I will have to check out your website though. Hope you get feeling better soon. Eden

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

You are not a dumb dumb but I sure questioned my sanity. LOL I still have not had time to go look. I am busy digging drain ditches. Oh, what fun!! I came in to trade shoes. :) Feel free to gander my site. it is still under construction but I will get back to it. I had to teach myself to write code to get it to do what I wanted. Funny how hard that is when you are not a nerd at heart. LOL Thank you for the well wishes.

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE BIG BOX SUSIE!!!!

I had such a great time potting them up! Going to have to look up a couple too. LOL

Keaau, HI(Zone 11)

Michele -

Box going out to you Tuesday...more Brugs? or more tropicals.

Carol

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

You just sent me a huge box full! LOL It took me half the afternoon to pot everything. :) Thank you much for the brugs, I forgot you had posted on this thread. Everything is doing great!!

Southwestern, OH(Zone 6b)

If you get extra's Chele, remember me to share with pretty please. Of all the cuttings I took last year, I have TWO living right now. :-(

Keaau, HI(Zone 11)

INCOMING!!! Stand by....5 days.

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

Melissa, I will certainly share with you. :)

Carol!!! Hey, I don't think I told you-that monster box got here in 2 days! You mailed on Tuesday morning and it got here Thursday morning! I about died! I got four boxes that day I think, two the next and yet one more the next day. I didn't think I would ever get caught up and your box was bottomless! LOL

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

Oh Susie.....Your box did get out of here yesterday. Never did get USPS to take the address and I wrote it on, then when we got to the PO, they changed your city. ROTFLOL Please let me know when you get it.

Archer/Bronson, FL(Zone 8b)

Chele,

I have been so out of the loop since I moved. You know, If I hadn't had moved, I would have sent you some brug cuttings. Since I did move, all 25 or so that I had rooted, bit the dirt. I haven't had the heart to start anymore. But I do miss them.

I am so happy to see so many people helping you out. I know how generous you have been over the years and we like to do stuff for our friends.

Molly
:^)))

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

Molly, you don't know the half of it! I'm glad you are settled so I can start sending YOU stuff. Things should calm down here shortly, I hope. I am working my buns off and I think going two steps back for every step I go forward but I know this is where we are meant to be. When you are outside working and you well up with tears just being so thankful for friends, health, the ability to even eek through paying your bills, the gift of being able to walk and to see and to smell and to breath and just find joy in waking each day, you just know it's right. It hasn't been easy and some days it just hasn't been fun, but I am thankful every day for the chance and for the friends. :)

I received three more wonderful boxes today and found myself again wondering what I have done to have been given such lovely friends. Now I am gonna take my sappy self back outside and work more. :)

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

Carol! My second box came yesterday. Be glad you don't live close enough for me to get my hands on you. I'd hug you so tight your stuffing would pop out. LOL

Archer/Bronson, FL(Zone 8b)

Chele,

Glad this came up again. I got a surprise this morning on my coffee walk.

All those brug cuttings I mentioned were dead sticks? Well, I didn't actually pull the dead sticks out of the ground. I just snapped them off at ground level. We had a wonderful thunderstorm yesterday and this morning I found these little brugs. What a thrill for me.

P.S. Wow!!!! Did you see that? I am growing grass!

Really glad it got there!!!

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

They are beautiful Carol! They are all nice and potted up and ready to grow there little buds off. :)

Molly, I am really happy for you! Be careful talking about grass. LOL A neighbor stopped over and complimented me on my gardens and asked me to come to some for him. He said I obviously had a great eye for color and combinations. I laughed and told him to wait until he saw everything bloom. LOL Anyway, I am going over to look at the area. He is having someone bring in dirt and till it up. All I have to do is plant it and get paid. Woo hoo. Umm, I had no plans for landscaping. hahahaha I also warned him to keep an eye on the beds and the new ones coming. I told him if I got arrested, they are only hibiscus!! LOL
