Gotta have it. Alas, no room...but next year!!!
Huge melon orange blooms on 36-48 inch strong tall stems. The striking foliage has zebra striping with alternating bands of cream-yellow and green.
DonM47 Nice Canna What did they call it?
Ann
DonM47 - I didn't have good luck with cannas from Vesey's - you might have more luck somewhere else - the roots I got from them were tiny and took 3 years to bloom!
And I live in a long growing season, too - anyone know of a good place to order from here in Canada for these?
annabell52, it was called Variegated Canna "Pretoria".
Good to know, 2zeus. I have enough cannas now for this year. But next year, I'll look look for that same variegation from another supplier. Hopefully more will be available then.
Don
great cannas from fellow dg member cannaskformore
i have the variegated leaf canna but not sure if it is pretoria
jagonjune, when I tried to access that member's page, I was told that he/she doesn't exist!
Any suggestions?

Thanks jargonjune, I found a link for them under the member list, Guildwood Cannas & Tropicals, and sure enough, they have (or had) Pretoria. Unfortunately they are sold out of available Rhizomes. But I will keep their name for next year. I appreciate the tip. Ü

Awww, I caved and ordered it. So much for good intentions of waiting until next year. Now...where to put this one... :-/
