Caistor, United Kingdom(Zone 8b)

awwwwwwwwwwww nice that someone will send you some plants etc....................... makes life so much happier

Frederick, MD(Zone 6b)

LOL, Mark... are you tracking down all Lauri's threads? :-)

Caistor, United Kingdom(Zone 8b)

yessssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss but then you must be too LOL

Dunedin, FL(Zone 10b)

Mark I re-read the old threads over and over . I love looking at the pictures :)) And re-reading learning material. When I first joined DG's the Av forum only had 17 pages gosh so many more. I have re-read them over and over they are filled with great information and pictures of blooming beauties !
The best thing and most important thing about growing African violets is the FUN to Grow , Even More Fun to share :)) and show them !
What is your weather now ? I don't grow many AV's or plants now but have some cool Gesneraids growing, Epsicas, Alsobia cygnets...Streps, Chirtas and Begonias. When the weather is right I could share some with you for shipping. I sent two big boxes to United Kingdome 40 plants and a good 50 plus sets of leaves they arrives in 6 days counting weekend !

Caistor, United Kingdom(Zone 8b)

Hi Violet

Its quite rare i actually read things about African Violets................. something that i have had in the past but they always die on me.........
Ih i know all about fun in sharing and showing............... I actually grow crocosmia and have around 240 cultivars now..... see my site http://www.simplesite.com/CROCOSMIA/
The weather is pretty good............ above average for this time of year!!! BUT, according to the weather reports we are in for the first frosts this week!!! YUCK
Thank you very much for the kind offer of the plants .................. very kind of you!! To be honest i dont have much room for many more plants in the garden at the moment........... in fact i am getting rid of some more plants myself.
Maybe if i make some room i will take you up on the offer............ if thats ok????
Thank you again
Mark

Caistor, United Kingdom(Zone 8b)

Mark their indoor plants.... Their Gesneraids that just keep giving me stolons babies. Well when Lauri gets there you better get some plant stands and gro-lights up for her African violets and Gesneirads :))

Dunedin, FL(Zone 10b)

Mark I went to your web sight I'm sure it's real nice but I use my old computer with wireless keyboard and mouse from bed and I can't read any of the writing :(( I's too small . If I ever get in my wheel chair and get close to my computer I will read it !
Thanks for sharing :))

Caistor, United Kingdom(Zone 8b)

LOL.......................... you can always alter the setting on the computer so you can view things larger..........!!!

Click on view at the top of the page and then click on text size.................... alter between smallest and largest........ its easy!!!! Have a go.

begonias arent indoor plants are they??????????????????? they grow outside here all summer.....

Oh i am sure Lauri will have a nice little stand with them all on there...................LOL

gro-lights???????????????? they need those too????????? Now it is getting very technical................. smile!

Frederick, MD(Zone 6b)

I'm not tracking Lauri's threads as such, Mark... but your name kept popping up in the "last post / who" column on my home page, and her old threads started popping up to the top of the forums!

Mark, Allison's DH has managed to plant a lot of her "reject" plants in the outside garden where they just flourish, and it sounds like your climate might be similarly mild.

We'll have to wait for you and Lauri to settle in a bit after the wedding and the move, and when you know how much space you have left (hah!), we can throw you a "plant shower" LOL.

Dunedin, FL(Zone 10b)

Mark I did make it large I guess my old eyes and being 10 plus feet way from computer I cant see :((

Caistor, United Kingdom(Zone 8b)

LOL........................ i know.................... i told her i was going to start her old threads again........... she says people only look at the first page!! Thats why i keep appearing!!

The climate here is a little colder than allisons.............................. gets down to -7 or -8 here in winter!!!!! Although they are nowhere near as bad as they used to be!

ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo a plant shower, how cool..................... would love that!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL

Caistor, United Kingdom(Zone 8b)
