Hi again...I need to transplant my rooted cutting to a larger pot. I have never had Brugs or Datura's before, so can anyone tell me or give me sugestions on a mix that works well with this plants? I want to do it right from the begining...There is so much informative information on this site, I just love it. Any help would greatly be appreciated. Thanks Marthalouis in Louisville, KY
What type potting mixture do you use?
I think just about any potting soil that drains well or isn't too heavy, will work. I even know of one person who plants their brugs in heavy soil because of not being home to water and the heavy soil stays moist longer. Datura will grow just about anyplace. I've never grown them in a pot, so can't answer that one. Good luck. I hope you will post pictures of your brug from time to time.

I use ProMix but there are so many good potting soils out there now.
As Shirley said the key is to have good drainage.
As long as the cuttings aren't in too big of a pot for their roots to be able to absorb the water they will do fine.
I can't wait to see pictures of your plants this summer.
Thanks Shirley and Snowhermit.....I just wanted to make sure....I wouldn't want my babies to be injuried or hurt in anyway. My husband thinks I am crazy for talking to and babing my plants. I have a small greenhouse now...He travels most of the time, and it keeps me out of trouble. Again....Thanks Marthalouis In Lou.,KY
Hi again Marthalouis! My husband thinks I am nuts too. He doesn't get the plant attraction at all. Do you like any other kinds of plants a whole lot too? If had a GH, I would love to grow orchids!
