Help! Hissing and Playing.

got2Bgreen Coast range of, OR(Zone 8b) Mar 29, 2006

I just got a new cat, I'm calling her Pearl. The problem is that she likes to play but hissing is a huge part of her playing, as is scratching and biting. How do I get her to stop without teaching her that if she hisses I will leave her alone?

She is about 6 months old - is it too late?
