Biglots & hanging pots

Mesa, AZ(Zone 9a)

I picked up several 10 inch hanging pots today from my favorite store Biglots. I have already re-potted two hoyas into them.

We are getting a Biglots in a couple of months. I have only been in one in Laughlin and didn't get to investigate to much, so I will get to go and check it out. Geesh, I don't even have a hoya big enough to fit into a 10" pot. Very pretty hoya, what kind is it? Looks like it's getting toooo much sunshine, do you need me to come pick it up??? The snow showers would do it good!!!

Oh Tami thank you for your offer, but I've put my cv Noelle back in the greenhouse, so it should be okay:-).

Awanda...Do you take off the saucer that catches water?

Mesa, AZ(Zone 9a)

No, after about 5 minutes I tip it over and drain the water out.

Do you think if you let the water slosh around you would have more humidity? I took my saucers off when I found the roots growing down into them!!!

Nice hoya, there, Awanda! We have a BigLots here but it's on the other end of town and I don't get out that way much. But when I do, I think of you every time! =0)

Always have a never ending need for pots. Awanda are you selling 4 and 6 inch hanging pots?

I like to have something to catch some water under them. I find that it usually goes up into the plant in a few mins. With nothing under them, they sometimes get so dry that the sides pull away & then when you water, it goes right through/around the soil ball & the plant doesn't get any. The key is to not have too much catch so that it stays soggy or doesn't get sucked up. I too will go around after a while & tip any that is left out. Good find. I will have to hit my Big Lots soon.
