I have several gingers [h. coronarium] planted in a container. It is in full sun so I know the soil is pretty warm. When should I expect to see some growth?

When the soilstays warm thru the night-maybe 55-60 degree nights consistently? Just guessing, but warmer than it is now. You can plant these gingers and they will come back every year. They are pretty hardy-they like some shade as well.

thanks! So I've got about another month to go then 'til I see them peeking thru. I knew they were hardy but I got them a couple months ago and decided to pot them up and wait til Spring. I haven't decided where I'm growing them yet. They might just have to grow this yr in a pot- LOL!
