Thought you might like to see the very old cherry tree that I see each morning as I leave the house.
Cherry Blossom Time in Washington DC
Spring has sprung in your neck o' the woods!
I love it! In Knoxville, where my friend lives, they have the road marked with a color so you can drive it and see the flowering trees. They have a green and a pink stripe.
beautiful tree and look at the yellow bell in the background! i have a small weeping cherry that has just started blooming here and i love it! mine has pink blooms! the nursery where i bought it had it labeled white they said they had no pink but it is pink! i am glad they mislabeled it lol.

Nanna...you being in Silver Spring Md..takes me back many years...I was just graduating from college in Ohio and getting ready to choose a graduate school/seminary to attend to become a minister...The minister at what was the Congregational Church in Silver Spring invited me for a weekend..and offered me an associate pastors position working with the young and i would receive a scholarship to school...I visited there and liked it very much..but decided to go to Univ of So Calif graduate school instead..An interesting aside:..the minister's wife was a roomate of Phyllis Diller...and Phillis had sung at their wedding...at that time Phyliss was an acomplished opera singer.....after her divorce...she went in a another direction with the comedy........... you live in a lovely era...thanks for the flash back...
Gorgeous! One of these years, we're going to make it down to the DC mall to see the cherry trees in full bloom... :-)
Happy Spring, everyone!!
Beautiful Nana. Here is Georgia the cherry flowers are already finishing. summer is on its way! :O))
Just lovely, Nanna!
We've got the Bradford Pears doing their thing right now. I think they are overused in landscaping around here, but they're very pretty nonetheless.
So dreamy Nanna. Spring is here ! Time to trade and Share :))
Thanks for sharing Nanna !
Thanks for sharing such a pretty picture. We have bradford pears starting to bloom here, too - they are pretty but there are way too many of them.
