Honeydew Melon seeds?

Yorkshire,

I have just scooped the seeds from a beautifully ripe Honeydew melon and washed them all ready for drying and saving. Has anyone ever tried growing the seeds from Honeydews before/can you actually grow the seeds from them?
Seems such a pity to throw them away if they're 'useable'.
Thanks for any help or advice you can offer.

I have grown melons from the seeds I scooped out from a store purchased melon and it worked just fine. I just wash really well and lay out dry before putting them away.

Yorkshire,

Thank you Makshi!
Now at least I know that I haven't completely wasted my time. I must get this seed collecting fetish under control. In the past week I have collected seeds from plum tomatoes, those long pointed red peppers, ordinary red peppers and now the melon.
Thank you for your reply.

Terri
