Although I do not post very often, I try to check "pets" as often as I can. I find the kindest, most caring, and understanding people here. Celebrating together triumphs and new additions to families and mourning together when losses befall us. Prayers and good thoughts are always just a click away when worries seem to overwhelm.
In the limited time I have been reading internet foroums (Dave's is the only one I have participated in), the loving humanity stated above is a rarity. Ill will and profanity seems to abound on the internet, so little compassion and understanding it is shocking to me. Debates consist of slander and belittling each other, where as in Dave's, even disagreements are handled with tact and truly listening to each other. One of my very first jobs was in retail. I was a very scared young girl and my first customer came running at me screaming "This is not virgin wool!!!!!!!!!" and proceeded to throw a blanket at me!!! Soon after that I worked in a Nursery, where everyone was sooooooo friendly and kind. Everyone worked together to help one another, customers and staff alike:-) Is it the gardening that brings out the best in us? (I would have to believe it is a big part of it!!!:-)

What was your very first job ever that you were paid for (being paid by parents does not count;-) I got paid 32 cents when I was about 8 years old to mow, rake, and clean up my entire back yard and it was large for the Bay Area!!!!
