Living Fence??

Tomball, TX(Zone 9a)

I have 2 questions for you Houston area folks. A new house is being built behind me, and I am hoping to do a "living fence".
Does anyone know where I can get the big oleanders that bloom more than just in the spring?
Also, anyone have any strong feelings on which would be the better plant, wax myrtle, or sweet olive? Which grows faster and bigger, and looks best?
Thanks!! jackie

Hey Jackie...Jeanne here..I use to live in Wimbledon Country over in Tomball...the trick for reblooming on the reblooming types is to prune after they bloom...here is a list of some that are the reblooming types..Hope this helps...Jeanne

It's been a long time since I lived in Houston so I don't know how well sweet olive does down there. I know that up here in Fredericksburg itdoes very well, but needs afternoon shade, and I'm not really sure if it's a shrub or a tree.
