Help....sorry for the short notice!!!

Keaau, HI(Zone 11)

I have two (yes, can you believe it) HG blooms in their peak and a friend comeing over to pollinate. Which are the best?.... Presently blooming:

Creamsickle
A large double peach
Donna's monster white
Golden Lady
Rothkirk
A deep golden yellow
Hawaiian Double White
Shreadded White
Inca Sun
Inca Moon
Versicolor Peach
Maya
Peaches and Cream
...and a whole bunch of pinks.

SHOULD i POLLINATE THEM ALL...OR WHICH WOULD BE THE BEST???????

Gotta know by tomorrow morning...pleeeeeeease. TIA.

Personally...I am leaning towards Donna's Monster White and Creamsickle which blooms constantly!!!

Aloha,

It's a nice list. I would honestly say that any of those that are good reliable bloomers and strong growers would be good. I've not got Rothkirch, but I hear it's a weaker grower. Maybe stay away from that one.

Versi Peach might be good. Gobs of blooms, nice color and a good grower.

edtied just clarify my comment about Rothkirch... if it is in fact a weak grower, RK has beautiful flowers, and might do well when crossed with a strong grower and bloomer, but as to crossing it with HG, you'd be crossing a weak grower with a weak bloomer. Not a great match, IMO. That's why I suggested VP - strong on all counts. (Golden Lady might be a good one, too).

Well....Off Sherri (my buddy in crime and plants) and I went to HG...armed with small WC Paintbrush, small glacine envelope to catch the other anthers we didn't use...umbrellas...in a pouring down storm. Carefully (Cripes...it took 15 mins) we tore apart the oldest HG bloom to get to the ...ahem....'parts'. Would you believe ...NO PARTS. No anthers, not stigma, no nuttin. So we tore into the other bloom...carefullly... sam'ting1 Nuttin'. Wassup wis'dat? Sexless flowers...who wudda guessed?

So we ran around cross pollinating other things we liked with other things we liked...and none of them have names... nothing like a bit of mystery!

In the end we were soaked...but we had fun...maybe we will get a winner!!! Dumb luck would be he reason!!!.....
